Manager - Global Trade
Job Responsibilities
Lead logistics operations covering import/export, product compliance, and regulatory affairs across multiple international locations.
Develop and implement strategies that drive operational efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining full compliance with global trade regulations.
Determine, review, and audit product origin, HTS classification, and applicable Trade Agreements to achieve duty savings in a compliant manner.
Liaise with internal/external legal counsel and government agencies to mitigate financial and legal risks related to international trade.
Deliver training on international trade compliance to ensure best practices are followed across the organization, reducing exposure to fines and penalties.
Stay updated on international trade regulations and provide actionable plans for global teams to implement necessary changes.
Identify operational issues and propose practical solutions to optimize logistics operations, enhancing overall supply chain efficiency.
Work closely with key stakeholders across functions - including Warehouse, Procurement, Retail Operations, and Business Development - to align on logistics strategies and mitigate commercial risks.
Partner with regional logistics leaders to anticipate business needs and proactively adjust operations.
Engage with government bodies and third-party logistics providers regarding licenses, permits, and regulation updates, ensuring timely communication to the broader business.
Monitor and achieve key logistics-related KPIs and ensure robust platforms (People, Processes, and Systems) are in place to meet these targets.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
Has 8 years of progressive experience in logistics, with deep knowledge of international export/import regulations, customs requirements, HS classification, origin rules, FTA studies, customs valuation, and global trade compliance.
Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct feasibility studies and in-depth process evaluations, along with proficiency in using industry-standard software for logistics and compliance management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive transformation initiatives. Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic, global environment.
