Executive - Logistics Controller
Key Responsibilities
Lead communication and coordination with international stakeholders to monitor import and export activities at a regional level.
Proactively manage all aspects of country shipping functions and liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
Apply knowledge of international trade, compliance, and logistics activities across APAC and EU regions.
Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret trade and logistics data, including transportation costs, lead times, capacity, turnover, and fulfillment metrics.
Prepare and present reports independently to international teams and management, providing clear updates and actionable insights on logistics performance and key metrics.
Identify opportunities, risks, and issues, providing solutions and recommendations with immediate or long-term impact.
Ensure continuous smooth import and export processes in compliance with departmental guidelines.
Support logistics planning for regulated commodities, including FDA and CE-certified items.
Assist in the design and implementation of logistics solutions, working with supervisors and cross-functional teams to develop alternative or long-term effective strategies.
Examine various documents such as costing files, invoices, and other shipping-related documentation.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with at least 3 years of experience in global trading, import, and export operations.
Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, including import/export procedures, customs operations, and HS codes.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with peers, supervisors, and international stakeholders.
Strong sense of urgency, logical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills; able to contribute innovative ideas to operational matters.
Proficient in English (spoken and written) for effective coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, V-lookup) and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
